The Foundation evaluates and accounts for uncertain tax positions in accordance with Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 740, Income Taxes (formerly FASB Interpretation 48 (FIN 48) Accounting for uncertainty in Income Taxes). This standard requires certain disclosures about uncertain income tax positions. The Foundation evaluates any uncertain tax positions using the provisions of ASC 450, Contingencies.
