All funds are used for the purpose of Hope Haven Charitable Trust expenditures and are controlled by the organization. Prior to awarding a grant, the CEO and accounting manager review budget-to-actual reports and compare to current bank balances. Furthermore, the CEO reviews detailed Hope Haven (R) LTD financial reports on a monthly basis. Additionally, the President and the Treasurer of Hope Haven Charitable Trust both serve on the board of Hope Haven (R) LTD. Finally, the President, CEO, and accounting manager make site visits at least once per year to verify proper use of grant funds. In 2021 the accounting manager was unable to travel to Rwanda, but the President and CEO were able to conduct a site visit.
