Candidates are matched with the appropriate scholarships based in the criteria established at the inception of the scholarship. Scholarship checks are made out directly to the college after students submit documentation showing proof of acceptance and student ID. Student name and ID number are referenced in the memo line of the check. Monthly bank reconciliations are completed to ensure that checks were received and cashed by colleges. When donations are given for facilities or programs, the donation is deposited and receipted to the donor, and a check is written to Asheboro City Schools in the amount donated. Asheboro City Schools deposits the check to the appropriate budget line for the facility upgrade or program support.
