No funds are given to individuals. The Alexander City Schools ensures the items purchased are given to the correct teacher and classroom. Teachers apply for grants in their classrooms using forms provided by the ACSEF. A committee consisting of members from the ACSEF Board decides the recipients of the grant. Teacher's names were hidden on the grant applications when presented to the ACSEF grant committee. Grant Recipients are encouraged to give updates to the ACSEF on how the grant impacted their students. When the View Sonic Boards were purchased the entire ACSEF board voted to donate the money for the purchase of the View Sonic Boards.
