The clinic services are free and clinics themselves are nondenominational. Eleven clinic sessions a week are in operation throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. The clinics serve low income individuals and families who are without medical coverage and ineligible for government subsidy programs. Clinic staff work with hospitals, physicians and pharmacies to provide additional health care services when needed. These services are also paid for by the organization where the individual cannot afford them and other resources are not available. The central office staff provides administration and coordination. SMHC provide a continuum of medically necessary health care services at no cost to low-income uninsured community members.
