All of the members of the executive board are volunteers, and none are trained tax filers or finance specialists. The volunteer that was supposed to complete the tax report was not able to file the forms as required, and we were not informed after the deadline date that the forms were not filed on time. This executive board is actively addressing weaknesses that have occurred in the past, and have procedures in place to ensure timely and accurate filings of tax returns in the future.
