Many residents of Texas cannot afford the necessary prescription medications to maintain their chronic, treatable conditions like diabetes, asthma and heart disease. The inability to sustain health affects the ability to maintain steady employment, care for family and escape poverty. It also contributes to increased costs across the health care system as unreimbursed emergency services become primary health care for those who cannot afford medication. We exist to serve those who cannot afford to sustain their health.
