From October 2021 to September 2022, we served a total of 7, 532 families and professionals throughout the Island. 86798 250000 0 Project Name:Direct Relief (Respite)Through this project we offer specialized care services to children and young people with significant disabilities in hospitals and at home so that these families can have time to attend to particular situations. What allows these families time for self-care, release stress and attend medical appointments. It also helps prevent emotional burden, social isolation and anxiety from being the only 24/7 caregiver. As part of this project, we also offer guidance and support to families whose infants remain hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). While infants receive medical treatment, their parents need support and know what services are available to address their babies' conditions. From October 2021 to September 2022 throughout this project we served a total of 63 families. 308768 699683 0 Project Name: The Early Childhood Services Systems Support Network Project, funded by AUCD and the CDC. Its purpose is to attend and ensure access to early childhood services during the COVID-19 pandemic. This project is created to support early childhood service systems and strengthen resilience in children, families, and communities, with which we intend to attend to the early identification of children with special needs. As part of this project, a monitoring system for the development of children 0-5 years of age and a referral system for programs and agencies that serve early childhood, and their families will be maintained. In addition, as part of this initiative, APNI created a Learning Community where, together with representatives of agencies and programs, we discuss and establish strategies that allow us to meet the needs of children and their families. Project Name: Transportation Services Coordination Project, funded by HRSA throughout the local Department of Health (FY 2021-2022). The purpose of this project is to coordinate transportation services for families to access services offered at Pediatric Centers. Many of these families do not have private transportation and many of the municipalities, due to the economic crisis, eliminated these services. Through this project they were served in different modalities a total of 71 families. The families were served form October 2021 to January 2022. The importance of early identification in children with loss hearing/deaf Project, funded by HRSA throughout the local Department of Health. This project aims to identify in children with hearing loss/deaf. We guide and train families on services available and how to access them. In addition, we train service providers in everything related to the needs of children with hearing loss/deaf. Also, as part of this project, a Course basic sign language for families and Service providers. From October 2021 to September 2022 throughout this project we served a total of 294 families and service providers. Project Name: Puerto Rico Government Resolutions provides funds to cover administrative expenses. Project Name: Global Giving. Support for programs and operations that have been affected by and/or are responding to the impacts of COVID-19 in the context of Hurricane Maria recovery. Project Name:Legislative Grant. The grant is provided by the government of the commonwealth of Puerto Rico and keeps several positions of trainers to families and administrative position. It also offers a recreational summer program for children and youth with significant disabilities. The fund is also used to cover administrative expenses not covered by other funds and a quarterly report must be made to the legislative body to assure the proper utilization of the funds as per the budget approval. Project Name: Miscellaneous Support and Donations.
