There was notable improvement in the program's academics: we went from a high C in 2023 to a high B in 2024, only four percentage points away from an A. The school's test scores in the spring of 2024 showed improvement in about every grade level and subject area from the previous school year. In 8th grade Science, our scores exceeded the district and the state with the percentage of students proficient. Schedule E, Part I, Line 6 The Coral Reef Montessori Academy Charter School is a component unit of the Miami-Dade District School Board and as such receives Federal, State and local government funding through the State and School District. The right to this funding has never been revoked or suspended. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The draft Form 990 is emailed to each board member. The accountant is available to answer any questions. After any and all questions are answered each Board Member approves to Form 990 by return email and then receives a final copy of the return. The approval is then ratified at the next board meeting. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c The School follows the conflict of interest policy of the Miami-Dade County School Board. Accordingly, the board members must file annual statements with the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections, which includes a statement of financial interest. Board members review the relationships of all employees and vendors on an ongoing basis in accordance with this policy.
