We engaged over 150 faith leaders and green team leaders through these events.- Supported our network of over 90 congregationally based green teams and expanded our green team coaching program for faith communities. - Continued our monthly virtual Green Team roundtables (12 in total) as a way for Green Team members and faith leaders across the state to connect with each other and GIPL staff over an hour long programmatic and networking call. Started in-person roundtables for Atlanta area green teams that included tours of WestRock Recycling Center and a sustainability tour of Mercedes Benz stadium. - Expanded our programmatic team, hiring a full-time Policy Associate to work on community advocacy and legislative policy- Launched the nonpartisan and multi issue Faith, Climate, Justice Get Out the Vote campaign to engage congregations in civic engagement. Distributed over 2,700 voter guides, gathered over 1,400 voter pledges, sent over 400,000 texts through community text banks. - Created a new re-grant program for congregational GOTV efforts, resulting in 14 mini grants totaling $10,000 for congregations across GA to support their local GOTV efforts.- Published a GOTV toolkit for congregations, and launched a 6 episode GOTV series with faith leaders in partnership with Atlanta Interfaith Broadcasting (AIB).- Launched a zero-waste program to help congregations better understand their waste practices, divert waste into recycling and composting, and write sustainability policies to guide waste decisions on-site.
