The US Board o0f Directors reviews each of the Grant Requests asks clarifying questions if necessary checks all calculations and then approves each Grant Request individually. Month funding requests are then submitted by the Uganda Organization against each approved Grant Request. The US Board approves by email the monthly funding requests and the US Trerassuirer sets up the wire or wires to be sent typically around the 19th of the month. Each month the US Board receives a report from Uganda that reconciles the am,ount received by wire with the expenditures for the month. In addition to insure that the Uganda Staff is receiving the funds sent for salaries each Staff member is required to sign an acknowledgement that they received the full amount of their take-home salary and the US Treasurer receives the signed acceptance list for the previous month before funds for salaries NSSF and Taxes are released in the monthly wire. Part VI, Line 11b The 2022 Form 990 and all applicable schedules B F O were sent to all Board members via email on November 5 2023 with the request to review the contents and provide the Treasurer with any known changes by no later than November 10 2-023 Part VI, Line 19 All governing documents and Financial Statements were available for review at the request of any donot or interested individual. The Organization did not have a Conflict of Interest policy since the entire US organization was comprised of the 5 member Board of Directors and a couple of Advisors all of which were well know to each other. As the Organization continues to grow formal Conflict of Interest and Document Retention and Descruction policies will be needed.
