Through a wide range of comprehensive, trauma-informed services, POV addressed sexual assault, domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and stalking. POV remains deeply committed to serving survivors of all backgrounds, including youth, Deaf and disabled individuals, elder survivors, monolingual Spanish-speaking survivors, and incarcerated individuals. Key services included 24/7 LA Rape and Battering hotline, 24/7 emergency response teams, and specialized support through the Domestic Abuse Response Team (DART), Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), and Family Justice Center programming, which collectively served 1,957 survivors. Additional services included One on One Counseling & Support groups and trauma recovery services, legal advocacy, housing advocacy and navigation, relocation assistance, emergency financial support & education, and a customized crisis line for incarcerated survivors of sexual violence. POV's prevention education and professional training programs reached 8,015 community members, including youth, adults, parents, and professionals. These programs provided trauma-informed education on violence prevention. Peace Over Violence's Empowerment Self-Defense program also offered specialized training to youth, adults, and service professionals. Peace Over Violence engaged a total of 216 volunteers, including the recruitment of 116 new volunteers directly involved in intervention and prevention efforts. Our expanding programming includes a partnership with the Department of Youth Development, where POV educators deliver our In Touch With Teens curriculum; housing assistance and emergency funds to help trauma survivors access and maintain long-term, sustainable housing; and the Ready to Rise program, serving monolingual Spanish-speaking youth and indigenous youth. POV's intervention services are intentionally designed to meet the linguistic, cultural, and social needs of monolingual Spanish-speaking and Indigenous survivors, ensuring access to advocacy, case management, crisis response, and healing-centered support. POV also leads the Domestic Abuse Response Team in partnership with the Pasadena Police Department & Los Angeles Police Department, the Trauma Recovery Center in collaboration with the Downtown Women's Center, and our national annual Campaign, Denim Day-the longest-running and now global sexual violence prevention education campaign. Held every April, Denim Day reaches millions of people worldwide each year, raising awareness, educating communities, and mobilizing action to support survivors and challenge harmful myths and attitudes about sexual violence.
