Because of the virus, our school, like many institutions across the country, was closed until the third week of October. When we reopened only 132 students can to the brick and mortar school. The vast majority continued with online learning for the remainder of the school year. The CRMA school community pulled our resources together and came up with an online learning platform while maintaining the integrity of the Montessori curriculum. We are grateful for our teachers, who have taken the initiative to become online educators, trying to find ways to connect with their students and continue to deliver instruction. We are appreciative of our parents for all the do to assist the teachers and support their children, as we found ways to be accountable for the students' education. Schedule E, Part I, Line 6 The CRMA is a component unit of the Miami-Dade County School Board and as such receives Federal, State and Local Governmental funding through the State and School District. The right to this funding has never been revoked or suspended. Form 990, Part III, Line 3 As noted above, the CRMA ceased to conduct in house instruction for the majority of the students due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The instruction for the effected students became online with our teachers adapting accordingly. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The Form 990 is emailed to each board member. The accountant is available to answer any questions. Each board member then approves the form 990 by return email. The approval is then ratified at the following board meeting. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c The school follows the conflict of interest policy of the Miami-Dade County School Board. Accordingly, the board members must file annual statements with the Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections, which includes a statement of financial interest. Members of the Board of Directors review the relationships of all employees and vendors on an ongoing basis in accordance with this policy. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 Each year the Board of Directors reviews the proposed employee salaries for all employees as part of the Budget approval process.
