This initiative aligns with GPER's mission to reduce the global burden of eczema by supporting high-quality, patient-centered clinical and translational research. For the 2024 funding cycle, GPER awarded up to three one-year grants of up to $25,000 each to eligible Principal Investigators at various career stages, including PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, fellows, and faculty. Funded projects focus on primary and secondary prevention strategies for AD, including gut microbiome modulation, early topical therapy, and patient-centered prevention research. Grantees are required to submit two progress reports during the grant period: Mid-Term Report Due approximately six months after the project start date, this report details research progress, preliminary findings, and budget expenditures to date. Final Report Due at the conclusion of the funding period (or upon project completion), this report includes a summary of research findings, project outcomes, and plans for future dissemination or application of results, including publication in peer-reviewed journals.
