A written Concept Letter will then be required to be submitted. (See attached Leadership Application Procedures and Guidelines) March 1st & October 1st Awards are made to U.S.-based environmental organizations with 501(c)(3) status, government agencies, or educational institutions. Support for Fellows doing international work may be considered as long as a U.S.-based host organization is the grantee and all the other criteria are met.Proposals must be developed jointly by the organization and a Switzer Fellow. Only Fellows who have concluded their graduate program are eligible to participate in a Leadership Grant Program project. The key criteria of the proposal are:1. The project is relevant to a current and critical environmental issue.2. The project advances the professional career of the Switzer Fellow.3.
