UNE also utilizes additional MS365 services to provide email, calendaring and scheduling, and university information to students, faculty, and professional staff. The University of New England transitioned from an older password synchronization technology to a newer and better solution, Okta. The new Okta technology affords the university with a more robust, secure, and integrated solution for our entire UNE Community and simplifies the way that we securely gain access to our everyday systems (MS365, Banner, Blackboard, U-Online, etc.) by allowing users to gain quick access to our systems through a secure single web page. During this timeframe, the University of New England standardized our synchronous communication platform to the Zoom video conferencing services. This allowed the university to make further investments utilizing Zoom to support traditional, online, and hybrid teaching.
