We are doing so as our audit was only completed last week. We were required to adopt a new revenue recognition accounting standard, ASU 2014-09, Revenue from Contracts with Customers, Topic 606. We are likely the only asset surrender CCRC in the country, so our auditors were uncertain as to how to proceed. They ultimately concluded we had to do an in depth analysis of the financial position of every resident. This determination was not done until October. As soon as our audit report was released, we have submitted the Form 990. We respectfully request that we not be penalized for a late filing of our April 30, 2021 Form 990.
