The Endowment also includes certain net assets without donor restrictions that have been designated for endowment by the Board of Directors, as well as one fund that was established by a donor wherein the corpus is not restricted, but any earnings are restricted to a specific purpose. The endowments provide grants to CARTI's cancer patients. Donations to the endowment provide a gift with both immediate and long-term benefits. Endowment donations are invested. A portion of the annual income from the investment is used to address immediate needs at CARTI. The remaining funds are reinvested to ensure indefinite support.
