We train and partner with churches and families to successfully disciple the children of their homes and communities into fully devoted followers of Christ. Training events are conducted in over 50 countries around the world including the U.S. These are facilitated through the mobilization of training trip teams, in-country trainers, and partnerships with local and global ministries and organizations. 0 0 919389 295372 1230792 KidZ at Heart International avoids the unintended consequences that result from well-intentioned international children's programs by equipping local leaders to work with the children of their own communities using the resources readily available to them. By doing this, we avoid creating dependency on western resources, we leave local leaders with skills they can continue using and reproduce in others, and we lift up those most likely to impact children - the families and church leaders who love them and live with them daily. The unique KidZ at Heart training plan has been used to train children's ministry workers in over 50 countries, including the U.S. While in-person, live training is by far the most effective when teaching someone to teach, we were called on to continue training in multiple locations globally during the pandemic. Many hours were spent adjusting learning activities and other elements of our training materials to make them effective for delivery via Zoom. This allowed for our National Training Network Coordinator for Nepal to lead online courses for the people of his own country - and to do so in his mother tongue! Online trainings were also completed in Canada and South Africa. Our global leaders took great steps forward! KidZ at Heart scontinued with KidZ at Home to bring spiritually transforming practices to adults to first practice themselves and then to share with the children they love. Each edition of KidZ at Home focuses on one spiritually transforming practice discussed in both video and podcast formats by KidZ at Heart leaders and guests who are leading voices from the spiritual formation and children's ministry realms. Also provided monthly is a free, downloadable, reproducible resource guide full of ideas for early childhood, early elementary, and preteen/young teen children. These are ready to share with other leaders and families. This resource reached homes around the world in 2021 and continues to be produced and translated into additional languages as we move forward. KidZ at Heart continued sharing the resource resource, KidZ on Mission (www.kidzonmission.org), designed to help children and their adults live missionally - sharing the love of Jesus with those around them in purposeful and practical ways. Each session of this resource shares video clips of real people living missionally and sharing God's love with others alongside their children. Practical ideas are provided in the KidZ on Mission resource guide to help kids "Be Close," "Love Differently," and "Reach Wide." Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c All KidZ at Heart board and staff a required to review the KidZ at Heart conflict of interest policy annually. All board and staff a required to disclose any potential conflictds of interest and sign the policy on an annual basis. The board then reviews any possible conflicts of interests at the first board meeting of the year. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 The KidZ at Heart board reviews the President / CEO's salary on an annual basis during the budget preparation process. The board reviews and approves the annual budget which also includes the salaries for the other chief officers. The board specifically reviews and documents the approval of all requested housing allowances for licenses / ordained staff members. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The KidZ at Heart financial documents and governing documents are provided to the public upon request. In order to complete our 990, we need to have our independent audit complete. Our audit was completed on 5/13. However, this did not give us enough time to complete our 990 and go through our process for review of the audit and 990 before submiting to the IRS.
