<ExplanationTxt>Dress for Success Worcester, Inc. (the "Organization") was organized in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a not-for-profit on September 11, 2008. The Organization serves women from throughout Central Massachusetts and is an affiliate of the global Dress for Success organization which has 144 affiliates in 22 countries. The Organization's mission is "to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing the network of support, the professional attire and the tools to help women thrive in their work and in their life." The Organization offers programs that are inclusive, flexible and adaptive to meet each individual woman wherever she may be in her employment development cycle. The principles and concepts we share are transferable between industries, and across sectors. The work is focused on understanding that it is through meaningful and long-term employment that women will achieve economic success, stabilize their families, strengthen our communities. A strategic focus on relationship development is integrated throughout all programs provided by The Organization. Each women works individually with a trained volunteer or staff member. This individualized experience creates an environment in which we can respond to each woman's needs and aspirations. We are able to target our approach to these objective factors, while providing the support, respect and compassion that she needs. To us, a 'one size fits all' approach is not as effective as each of the women we serve are unique individuals. Workplace Preparation Program - The I Am Successful 10-week program helps women gain professional skills, accelerate their job search and build confidence through weekly training sessions, career coaching and networking in a supportive environment. Women overcome obstacles to employment by learning soft skills and attitudes, branding, social media presence, goal setting and career mapping, basic strategies and interviewing techniques. Career Center/Coaching - Our Career Center promotes confidence and professionalism by providing clients with career guidance, technology skills, and job-seeking support. Working on creating superior resumes and cover letters, and honing their interview and technology skills, we ensure they feel confident and capable when applying for employment. Suiting program- Each client works one-on-one with a highly trained volunteer or staff member who helps her select professional attire and provides support and encouragement as she prepares for her upcoming interviews. She receives an interview outfit--and most importantly, positive reinforcement and a boost of confidence. During this appointment, resumes are reviewed and interviewing skills enhanced. Once employed, she returns for a professional capsule wardrobe to look her best when she starts her new career. Professional Women's Group- The Organization has recognized that finding work is only one step in a woman's journey towards economic independence; remaining employed and building a rewarding career are essential if a woman is to become self-sufficient. In PWG, women are provided with a network of support, practical information, and inspiration to thrive in their workplace.</ExplanationTxt>

<ExplanationTxt>I respectfully request removal of any potential penalties associated with the late filing of the Form 990 for the year ended June 30, 2021. We believe there is reasonable cause for the removal of the penalties. The organization misinterpreted the instructions of the form 8868 extension and incorrectly didn't file an extension for the FY21 filing. Because Dress for Success is a small not-for-profit, the filing is prepared by a volunteer. The volunteer did not understand the instructions of the Form 8868 and therefore did not file that form to request an extension. It was an honest mistake. We did not realize we missed the extension until today, upon filing. We have put a process in place to ensure this does not happen again (automatic reminder in personal calendar for the treasurer). Dress for Success Worcester works diligently to fulfil its exempt mission. The diversion of funds to pay a potential IRS penalty would only reduce the services it provides families in need in the Worcester area. Dress for Success Worcester respectfully request the IRS waive any potential penalty for the Form 990 for fiscal year 2021 (tax year 2020).</ExplanationTxt>
