I was unaware of the requirement of filing via Efile and mailed a hard copy on March 21, 2022. Learned later that the extension letter sent on September 21, 2021 was not received. Given list of software providers for 990 filing and when contacted, indicated that I needed to be a EFIN. Started the Efin process with IRS help until discuss fingerprint process and told EFIN was for Tax Professional only. Finally located software company for Form 990 that was able to use without being an EFIN.
