NET as designed and build dozens of parks and green areas and has also planted thousands of trees. The project complements NET's both its Watts Rising and Ramona Gardens State of California funded grants that provides trees to the residents of Watts and East Los Angeles and its educational component that teaches the value and need for increased tree canopy in the highly urbanized communities of Los Angeles - trees sequester carbon, reduce energy needs, and increase local water resources. 44019 53882 NET provided arboriculture and landscaping services to Metabolic Studios via its at-promise youth urban forestry crews to help green their Los Angeles River campus. Services included consulting on California native plant selection, education and out reach to the public, and landscape construction and implementation. The project engaged and educated the public in the importance of and need for projects of this type in order to mitigate future climate change, improve water quality, and increase local water resources.
