Generally accepted accounting principles provide accounting and disclosure guidance about positions taken by an organization in its tax returns that might be uncertain. Management has considered its tax positions and believes that all of the positions taken by LANLT and DANP in its federal and state exempt organizations tax returns are more likely than not to be sustained upon examination. LANLT and DANP's returns are subject to examination by federal and state taxing authorities, generally for three and four years, respectively, after they are filed. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b The Executive Director reviews and approves the Form 990. A copy of the Form 990 is distributed to all board members before it is filed with the IRS. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c The Board Chair and the Executive Director are responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with the Organization's Conflict of Interest Policy. The organization monitors and enforces compliance through an annual review of affiliations and employment. If a conflict should arise, resignation is a potential resolution to explore. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15a The process for determining compensation for management and officers includes a market comparison of positions within organizations of similar size and similar annual operating budgets, and a review of the organization's cash position. The Executive Director's salary is reviewed by the Executive Committee and approved by the entire board. There were no other officers compensated during this reporting period.
