This award allowed the University to acquire and install a fluorescence microscopy system including a confocal laser scanning microscope. The goal of the project is to support research and education using confocal laser scanning microscopy. The project proposes to investigate the localization and transport of molecules and nanoparticles under various conditions using the instrument to enable high-resolution, three-dimensional imaging of cells on a microscopic scale. The instrument will also be used to teach pre-college and undergraduate students about microscopy. (2) Small Business Development Center 2019. This subaward is issued by the MI-SBDC Lead Center at Grand Valley State University for the performance for a Scope of Work originally awarded to the Prime recipient. GVSU is the prime recipient of the US Small Business Administration (SBA) Small Business Development Center cooperative agreement to establish a statewide network of a State Lead Center and SBDC Regional Centers.
