No one is ever turned away due to an inability to pay. The Community Support Program offers sliding scale discounts for low-income families to ensure mental healthcare is available for all children. We raise money through grants, individual donations, and corporate sponsorships to cover their fees. We see this as an investment in a valuable community resource; our children. (Continued on Sch. O)Operation of the Warm Springs Counseling Center provided out-patient counseling and therapy services for children and their families, with an emphasis on those lacking the resources to pay for services. The organization provided 675 Intake Appointments, 10,000 in Counseling Sessions, 1,500 counseling and therapy for the Children with their Families.Due to the ongoing global pandemic, Children's Home Society shut down for two weeks during the fiscal year. They continued to operate via telehealth while gradually reopening and following all guidelines. 2805 2550 Operated by Children's Home Society of Idaho, the Warm Springs Training Institute (WSTI) helped ensure continuing education to therapists by offering a series of professional development seminars. A unique emphasis of this continuing education program is its collaboration with Idaho Universities, school districts, state agencies, family physicians, pediatricians and other non-profit organizations that serve children & families. WSTI strives to be the first choice for those who serve them. The designated general endowment is intended to be used to support the mission of the organization by providing income and principal to fund its charitable purposes. Part X, Line 2: The Organization believes that it has appropriate support for any tax positions taken affecting its annual filing requirements, and as such, does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the financial statements. The Organization would recognize future accrued interest and penalties related to unrecognized tax benefits and liabilities in income tax expense if such interest and penalties are incurred. The Executive Director of the Organization serves as the Secretary and Ex-Officio member of the committee. A quorum of the Executive Committee is considered a majority thereof and the Executive Committee has the power to manage regular affairs of the organization between the meetings of the Board of Directors. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c Identifying and addressing conflicts of interest is a consistent component of the decision making process of the Board of Directors. The conflict of interest policy is reviewed annually at the Executive Committee level within the governing body. In the event a conflict of interest is found, the board member is asked to recuse him or herself or resign. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15a Compensation and job descriptions are reviewed annually by the Executive Committee. The agency conducts periodic analysis using comparative data for Executive Director position, and establishing pay grades and job descriptions for all staff in an effort to formalize the compensation structures. The last formal review of compensation was conducted by the organization in June, 2019. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, line 19 Financial statements are given to other organizations upon request and as a condition of receiving a donation or grant.
