Information from the San Antonio Area Foundation analysis of non-profit compensation was utilized to make the comparisons. The data was presented to the executive committee for review and approval. The percentage increase in employee compensation is identified in the annual budget process and approved by the entire Board of Directors annually. Form 990, Part III, Line 4d Excel Academy The Excel Academy was launched by Excel Beyond the Bell in the Fall of 2019. The academy was designed as a 10-month, cohort-based training for youth development practitioners across San Antonio. With 30 participants across 16 organizations, the 2019-2020 cohort built the capacity of participating organizations to strengthen developmentally-focused relationships with those they serve. Form 990, Part III, Line 4e Rethinking Dicipline Community of Practice RDCP The RDCP is a partnership with the Judson, San Antonio, and Harlandale Independent School Districts,as well as UTSA. In the 2019-2020 school year, eight out of nine participating campuses showed progress on first-year implementation indicators, according to UTSAs evaluation report. Through this nine-campus pilot, 100 teachers were trained in the purpose and practice of restorative justice, focusing on how to scale restorative practices throughout the city and make them sustainable. Form 990, Part III, Line 4f Youth Voice The Our Tomorrow Network is helping young people find their voices and build their futures by connecting young people from across the city and training them as researchers and policy advocates, helping to foster the leaders of tomorrow, today. In April 2020, the network engaged more than 40 youth leaders in a meeting with their State Board of Education representative to discuss their pandemic experiences in a Town Hall.
