The Organization provides funds for scholarships, books and supplies, travel and fees, academic counseling and advisement, medical expenses, printing, and copying. Scholarship amounts are based on need. There are specific criteria that determines if a student is eligible to participate in the program. In order to continue to receive ongoing scholarship support, the student must meet defined expectations. The Executive Director and The Associate Director for Guatemala are in regular contact with the students ensuring that they are progressing in their respective programs and on track to meet expectations of the program. Should any decisions come before the Board of Trustees that potentially present a conflict of interest, Board members are asked to disclose such a conflict to the other members of the Board and abstain from voting on the matter.
