      <PrimaryExemptPurposeTxt>The mission of Women Impacting Storebrand Excellence (WISE) is to PROMOTE GROWTH IN THE STOREBRAND RETAIL INDUSTRY AS A CHAMPION FOR DIVERSITY IN LEADERSHIP.</PrimaryExemptPurposeTxt>
      <ProgramSrvcAccomplishmentGrp>
        <DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>WISE 2018 ACCOMPLISHMENTSUnlock Real Results through Diversity served as the overarching theme for programs and events during the sixth year of the organization. The leadership team and volunteers worked to provide valuable benefits to our partners and members, as evidenced by the steady cadence of impactful activities and programs delivered this year. A recap of our program accomplishments in 2018 follows.Six professional development webinars were conducted which attracted a total of more than 400 attendees.February: Stand Up and LeadApril: LinkedIn RelationshipsJune: The Power of an Extra HourAugust: Creative ThinkingOctober: Shock Your PotentialDecember: Unconscious Gender BiasAdditionally, in conjunction with the InPower Coaching professional development program designed exclusively for WISE partner members, nine online coaching sessions were conducted by Dana Theus, President and CEO.In person and virtual events for 2018 includedIn March and September, Nights of Dynamic Networking were held in conjunction with WISE board meetings in Chicago (Schaumburg), IL and Carneys Point, NJ. A third event was held in September in Bentonville, AR. The evenings provided productive professional networking opportunities which is a primary goal of WISE along with professional development opportunities as provided by thought provoking speakers. More than 120 WISE members and colleagues gathered to expand their network and exchange ideas with local industry professionals. Sponsors of the events were Topco, Simmons Pet Foods, and Lassonde Pappas.In April a virtual session Partner Forum was conducted. Eleven WISE members, from across WISE 50 partners were educated via a presentation by Dana Theus, CEO and Founder of InPower Coaching on Preparing for the Workforce of Today and Tomorrow.September 17-19: sponsorship of a panel of industry experts discussing how to Unlock Real Results through Diversity at the Velocity Conference. The WISE session was prominently promoted by the conference host.November 11: In partnership with Store Brands Magazine, under Top Women in Store Brands program, the WISE Annual Meeting honored 9 ladies. The event featured keynote speaker Judi Holler who inspired the 300 attendees to face their fears with a positive, can-do attitude in her message, Fear is My Homeboy. Every attendee received the book The One Thing by Gary Keller as a gift. A portion of the event was underwritten by some of the WISE partners.2018 Mentor Circle ProgramThe 2018 program introduced a co-ed circle which brought the program to a total of four circles with 21 attendees.Through an after-action survey with the Mentees and Mentor circle leads the main thread was that the topics were thought-provoking, very educational and inspiring. The open discussions, experience and knowledge sharing took place was without judgement or repercussions. Talking with others from different backgrounds, across genders, and across ages was enlightening and encouraging. When an issue or situation where advice was required, it was easy to bring it up to the group. Quality guidance from both the mentor lead and from the others in the circle was received. A great testament to the program is that three of the four Mentor Leads indicated their desire to return and one of the Mentees has asked to be a Mentor Lead"WISE World" newsletter was published on a monthly basis.Trade Show participation was at PLMA.</DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt>
