The Audit Committee of the Board reviews the tax return on behalf of the Board of Trustees. The President signs the return and the Controller then files the return. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c A letter is sent to the Board of Trustee members, officers and school deans on an annual basis requesting disclosure of any interest that could give rise to conflicts. If there are an conflicts disclosed, they are investigated by the Institute as appropriate. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15a The Presidents compensation is reviewed and approved by the salary subcommittee of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees. Comparable compensation data from independent consultants, Form 990 of other organizations and other various salary surveys is reviewed by the Committee. There is a written contract that is then approved by the Committee.
