The Methodist Hospital, Texas Children's Hospital and Memorial Hermann Hospital are named in the governing document as representatives of the Beneficiaries. Pursuant to Treas. Regs. 1.509(a)-4(d)(2)(i)(b)(2), each Beneficiary must be closely related in purpose or function to the three named beneficiaries and must be an organization described in section 501(c)(3) other than a private foundation, within the meaning of section 509(a)(1). Accordingly, the organization reviews the progress reports and other financial data received from recipients to insure proper use of granted funds. Form 990, Part VI, Line 11b: Form 990 Review Process The organization engages an outside accounting firm to prepare FOrm 990. Once prepared, the board chair and administrative assistant review the form prior to filing. In addition, a copy of the 990 is distributed to the board prior to filing.
