Any potential conflicts with regard to Trustees are brought to the attention of the Vice President for Administration/Chief Financial Officer and President, and brought to the Board of Trustee's Audit Committee to approve or disapprove the conflict of interest. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 Annually the Foundation benchmarks the salaries of Presidents and Chief Executive Officers and other senior management positions at other institutionally related foundations nationwide as well as nonprofits within the State of Hawaii. This is done through research of 990s and through salary surveys of various professional organizations. The Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees uses this data in conjunction with an assessment of individual job performance to determine the appropriate compensation adjustments for the Presidents/CEO and Vice Presidents of the organization.
