It serves 330 children in grades K through 12 who have a wide variety of learning disabilities. The majority of the operating funds are received through monthly tuitions, which are based on a "break-even" concept. That is, tuitions should cover operating costs such as teaching and administrative salaries, supplies, and the operating and maintenance expense of the facilities. All disbursements are made to vendors offering the best price for the product or service needed. Teachers are paid based on experience and background. Any child with a learning disability is eligible for enrollment. Based on the individual's parent's tax return, the advisor provides a recommended response to the request for tuition assistance. Tuition assistance stays the same until the next evaluation.Briarwood Procedures: Parents apply online for tuition assistance through NAIS School and Student Service for Financial Aid.
