For the hospitals Christmas gifts were purchased for the current patients of the cancer floor, more specifically the teenage patients. Ipads were purchased to be given as gifts and gift cards to local supermarkets and meal vouchers for the hospitals were purchased and given to families of newly treated patients. 4240 0 0 The organization provided an Art program for children when they were in the clinic or hospital. This program provided the kids with an hour with an artist who helped them make clay figures that they could film in a video. There was also food provided. This is just another way that this organization hopes to take the stress off of the patients and families for a short time while they are receiving treatment. 1137 0 0 The organization also purchases and provides to the Nickalaus Children's Hospital cancer clinic, Kleenex and candy for the current patients. The clinic is always in need of Kleenex and the candy is used to give the patients receiving cancer treatment a little treat after or during their treatment. 516 0 0 Family Fun Night is an event for the kids and family members to make an arts and craft item and enjoy some food. The event is located in the play room on the oncology floor and gives the patient and their family time to enjoy an event and get their minds off of their illness. 3706 0 0 The organization provides newly diagnosed kits to patients. The kits includes items that will aid the patient and their family as they proceed on the journey of hospital visits and treatments. Items such as pill cutter, blankets and wipes are a great help to the patients and their families. The kits are distributed to all 3 hospitals the foundation works with. 1801 0 0 Adopt a Zoo animal is a new program this year. The patients are given a family zoo pass for the year along with a plush animal toy. The patients and their families can enjoy the zoo together all year. 2251 0 4043 The organization sponsored a kickball tournament where donors formed teams and not only had fun but raised awareness for pediatric cancer. In addition a vendor sale was held where various vendors sold merchandise and contributed a portion of their proceeds to the organization.
