We organize and host a leadership building program with high school students from Cordova and from the Copper Basin. CRWP coordinated with the PWS science center to provide monthly informational education sessions to 3rd - 4th grade students during the school year, held monthly field trips to Odiak pond with the Cordova High School, 7th grade science class, and facilitated a watershed exploration ten-day summer tour for High School students.Citizen Oversight for TAPS: CRWP facilitates a partnership of pipeline corridor stakeholders to expand regional capacity for citizen oversight of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS). The intent is to expand this program once funding is obtained.Compositing & Recycling: CRWP continues to administer a fishnet recycling program, and is working on building recycling capacity in the community of Cordova. We also recruit volunteers for the month of April to process recyclables at the Roar Transfer Station in Glennallen, Copper Basin.
