Each workgroup is made up of 15-25 senior executives who meet four times per year. STANDARDIZATION & PROMOTION OF TBM PRACTICES & PRINCIPLES. TBMC serves its members and the I.T. profession by defining a data-driven framework for decision-making that creates and sustains business value. The Council aims to publish a generally accepted set of TBM practices and to faciliate benchmarking by business technology leaders against those practices. The Council is working to establish and promote TBM standards and practices in the I.T. industry that will help measure, manage, and communicate the budget, cost, consumption and value of I.T. The TBM framework is comprised of standards created with input from the Council's members, partners, and technical advisor. The framework provides a means by which I.T. leaders can assess whether their own organizations have adopted the standardized disciplines and capabilities. I.T. leaders can benchmark their own organizations against the framework, as well as their industry peers. EDUCATION. The Council has established a network among I.T. professionals while assisting in the professional development of each individual member.
