The site reports over 60 measures for 128 hospitals. Results are updated quarterly and new measures are added on an ongoing basis. WHA also coordinates state-wide quality improvement projects with member hospitals. Staff deliver improvement training content, provide one-on-one coaching and collect data from hospitals to track progress. Public Policy -WHA advocates at the state and national level on policy issues that affect hospitals abilities to continue to meet their mission of providing affordable, accessible and high quality care in the communities they serve. Communications and Education -WHA produces a weekly newsletter that is distributed to more than 2,000 people, including member hospitals, state legislators, members of the congressional delegation, and health care professionals. In addition, WHA staff communicate directly with member hospitals through direct visits and electronic communications. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 4 The organization made the following changes to its bylaws during the year: -Officers: The officers of the Association shall be the chair, past chair, chair-elect, secretary, treasurer, president, and any other employees so designated by the President. -Composition: The Board of Directors shall consist of the Chair-Elect, the Chair, The past chair, the President, regional directors elected by their respective regions, at-large directors elected by the board of directors, and the chair of the audit and investment committee. In addition, delegates to the american hospital association regional policy board shall be members of the board of directors with full voting privileges. -Number of Regional and At-large Directors: There shall be no more than twenty-five regional and at-large directors. -Compensation Committee: The compensation committee shall be composed of the chair officers. The chair of the association shall serve as Chair of the Committee. The compensation committee shall annually evaluate and set the compensation of the President. -Amendments by the Board of Directors: For any proposed amendment to be considered by the Board of Directors, the President shall provide notice to the Board not less than ten days nor more than ninety days prior to the meeting at which such proposed amendment is to be considered. The association's membership is comprised of two classes of members, provider and corporate. Provider membership includes the following types of organizations: Hospitals, both general and special, that are licensed by the State of Wisconsin, VA hospitals, and other health care facilities designated by the board of Directors; health care systems that govern, own or control one or more hospitals; and other organizations designated by the Board of Directors, provided that the Board determines that membership of such other organization is consistent with the mission and vision of the Association. Corporate members may include individuals or companies in the fields of law, accounting, banking, architecture, and other professionals that provide services to health care providers in Wisconsin and other states.
