(GWF)is to support the operations of Goodwill Industries of Dallas, Inc.(GWD) which it accomplishes through periodic grants. In prior years, GWF hosted a golf tournament to raise funds and made grants to GWD which were used for the Workforce Development Group. The Workforce Development Group within GWD provides assessment, remedial education, skills training, job training and placement of individuals with vocational barriers. In 2015, GWF did not make a grant to GWD due to the transition from GWF hosting a golf tournament to GWD hosting "The Lunch". GWF incurs the fundraising expenses related to this event. Grants to GWD began again in 2016.
