The organization provides multiple events throughout the year to expand the awareness of horticulture in western New York. Included in the events is an "Education Day" in which we aim to enhance the education and awareness of horticulture for people of our region. We also co-present along with PLANT WNY, a multiple day public event named "Plantasia" that displays different plants and horticulture to the public. In addition to the events, the organization also provides scholarships to students who exemplify an interest in the horticultural field. The organization also has a presence, with displays, at many locally sponsored "Garden Walk" events in our area communities, During the past year, the board of directors have actively been focusing on increasing contributions in the organizations. They have implemented numerous strategies and plans which can be reflected in an increase in contributions of over 40% from the prior year. With the increase focus on contributions and the plans put in place we expect the organization to meet the public support test within the next couple years.
