The Society, along with other county medical societies, supports the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the American Medical Association. The Society's mission includes: upholding the ethics and dignity of the medical profession, elevating and maintaining the highest standards of healthcare, promotion and disseminating medical information to members as well as the public, and promoting collegial relations among its members. Dauphin County Medical Society (DCMS) produces a quarterly newsletter, The Reporter, to keep members informed of current medical issues on the national, state and local levels. The Reporter provides a forum to welcome new members, discuss new and cutting-edge medical procedures of interest, and inform the readership of the projects and programs undertaken by DCMS and DCMS Alliance. DCMS also uses email blasts to advise its members of upcoming events and Calls to Action. DCMS maintains a website which provides resources for members and the general public. 0 0 The Dauphin County Medical Society hosted its 12th Annual Doc Talk Event at the Capital City Mall on March 7, 2015. This annual event at a busy area mall offers the opportunity for area residents to discuss health questions and concerns with physicians of various specialties.
