The project consisted of having a team of 4 community health outreach workers knock on the doors of all Coney Island residents between Stillwell Avenue and West 37th Street to check on their health conditions related to Hurricane Sandy and to link them to primary care, specialty, and mental health services. Other aspects of the project included health workshops, and health insurance enrollment for local residents. As of June 30, 2014 $126,000 out of the $140,000 award for the project had been received.
