Cooperative Connection, LLC is a single member LLC and is treated as a disregarded entity for income tax purposes on the Cooperative's Federal Exempt Organization Business Tax Return (Form 990). The Cooperative considers income derived from its broadband services to be an unrelated business activity. The Cooperative believes that it has appropriate support for any tax positions taken, and as such, does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the financial statements. The Cooperative's Form 990 for the years ended June 30, 2021 and thereafter remain open and subject to examination by the Internal Revenue Service. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a Members have the right to elect the board of trustees. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7b The membership must approve decisions that involve substantial transfers of cooperative assets, amendments to the cooperative's bylaws, as well as other decisions requiring approval of the membership by law, the articles of incorporation, and/or the cooperative's bylaws.
