To that end, in the current year the organization provided Baptist Hospital Cancer Floor with funds to purchase televisions for several of the cancer patients rooms. These televisions replaced outdated sets and will make the stay for these patients more comfortable. 5733 1592 Baptist and Miami Children's Hospital Christmas Gifts and party. For both hospitals gifts were purchased for the current patients of the cancer floor, more specifically the teenage patients. Ipads were purchased to be given as gifts and gift cards to local supermarkets were purchased and given to families of newly treated patients. 425 0 Riding lessons were provided to patients currently undergoing treatment. Horse therapy helps these patients forget their current medical condition for a while and helps them to feel in control of their environment. The organization hopes to be able to provide riding lessons to more children who may benefit from the therapy. 387 0 The organization also purchases and provides to the Miami Children's Hospital cancer clinic, Kleenex and candy for the current patients. The clinic is always in need of Kleenex and the candy is used to give the patients receiving cancer treatment a little treat after or during their treatment. The organization hopes to expand these Kleenex and candy drives to the other large hospital in the Miami area. 290 0 The organization provided a Family Fun Night at Miami Children's Hospital where the patients and families could enjoy a fun time of food and games.
