Eight graduating Troy High seniors were awarded an additional $10,000 in scholarships through the Geneva Harrod Memorial Scholarship Program. The Science program received over $22,400 in gifts. Some of the items purchased included: field trips for the Chemistry and Anatomy classes, sand loading rig for bridge testing, Venier technology sensors, compound scope, funnels, burners, tubing, pipets, beakers, clamps, and many other supplies and tools needed to conduct hands on Biology, Chemistry and Physics experiments. Troy High School teachers received 65 AverVision F15 documents cameras, cables and connectors costing over $23,000. The Troy Tech and International Baccalaureate programs received 15 computer monitors, HD docks and graphics cards, one classroom rewired for desktop computers, and food and support for the Troy Tech Mentor Breakfast and the Troy Tech Student Fair. The Computer Science program received 10 microphones and 10 handheld digital audio recorders, 10 tripod microphone stands and cabling. The Athletics Department received a John Deere Gator TS Vehicle and throwing equipment for Track and Field. Social Science received a paid speaker to talk to students about the Holocaust. The Band program was able to refurbish two sousaphones.
