Members are then eligible to participate in activities and vote for members of the Board of the Directors at the Annual Meeting each year. The annual meeting was held in person on September 15, 2023. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a The membership elects the board of directors. The board of directors then elects officers from its membership at the first board meting after the annual meeting. Due to the Pandemic and no annual meeting, no Board members were elected during 2020 and the Board took action to extend the term of every current board member while electing new officers from those same board members. Those extensions continued some board members into 2023 and new members to the board were elected at the Annual Meeting on September 15, 2023. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b Members elect the board of directors and have the ability to remove those directors for cause. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The organizations 990 is sent to the board prior to electronically submitting the filing. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c It is the policy of the organization to require all board members to sign the conflict of interest policy at the beginning of each board term and all board members are made aware of the policy at their orientation after they are first elected to the board. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 The Executive Director serves as a contractor for the organization. Her compensation is reviewed by the board of directors on an annual basis. The board also reviews compensation for all other officers and key employees of the organization as well as approving any and all management contracts and payments to consultants prior to entering into said contracts. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The organization's governing documents are available on the organization's website. The conflict of interest policy and financial statements are available upon request and have been provided to funding organizations at their request. Form 990, Part IX, Line 11g $4972 for printing services related to a gun safety brochure; $1645 for translation services of government information for dissemination to the public related to program education services; $1700 for facilitation of a meeting to improve infant and early childhood mental health services; $1000 for video production and statewide media for our annual meeting/children's agenda; $500 for logo design for the Early Childhood Supports and Services program We had a blanket extension until February 3 due to the Emergency Declaration for Louisiana. The additional days were due to lacking access to our accounting system which was locked due to attempted unauthorized access. We remedied those issues as soon as we possibly could.
