The amount was $26,627. That caused the value of the Organization's buildings to be increased by the said $26, 627. In addition to that adjustment, the buildings were subject to a 2014 depreciation amount of $17,000. The Home has 80 children and the School has 300+ 545701 Disbursement is made on a monthly basis per budget 0 Cash 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Schedule F, Part I, Line 2 The Organization provides funds on a monthly basis to the Guatemalan charitable corporation that operates the Children's Home which has 80 children, and the onsite school which has 300 students, which include the children from the Home and children from the impoverished neighborhood that is adjacent to the Home. The amount of the monthly payments is based upon a budget that is approved by the Organization. The Organization has long experience in making judgments about the reasonableness of the budgeted amounts, since a number of the Organization's officers have lived at the Home for extended periods (as missionaries or Volunteers) and are well familiar with the price of provisions and labor in Chimaltenago. In addition, at the end of each year the Organization has an "audit" conducted in Guatemala by an independent Guatemalan financial entity to verify the use of the funds disbursed by the Organization. The Organization also has one employee on site to observe the commodities and labor purchased by the Guatemalan entity which operates the Home and school. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6 The Organization has members. The members are all of the members of the governing body and their spouses, and such other persons as the members elect to be members. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a The members do have the power to appoint members of the Governing body. The members of the Governing body are elected by the members for a three year term. One third of the members of the Governing body come up for election each year. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The form 990 is reviewed by the Organization's President and its attorney and by its Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer, and by any Director who desires to review the 990 form. All Directors are given notice of how to obtain copies. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 18 The Organization files its 990 with the State of Florida, and it is available at the State of Florida site. In its monthly newsletter the Organization states that the Organization's finances may be reviewed at the State of Florida site, and it then tells the reader how to access that site. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The Organization's Articles of incorporation is a matter of Public record in the State of Florida, as is the Financial information required by the State of Florida's charitable contribution statute. Florida's Statute requires the Organization to file a copy of its 990, which is available at the State of Florida site. The financial information contained in the Organization's filed 990 is also available upon request to the Organization's officers. Form 990, Part X, Line 16 Line 16, column B is increased by $9,627 over Line 16, Column A. That increase is the result of the addition of $26,627 for year 2014 office improvements to the Organization's buildings, and the subtraction of $17,000 for year 2014 building depreciation. Form 990, Part XI, Line 9 Line 9 is the net increase in the Value of the Organization's buildings, which is the result of the addition of $26,627 paid for office improvements, and the subtraction of $17,000 for 2014 building depreciation.
