Sister city organized 2 major touring events. In October hosted San José Las Flores Mayor Felipe Tobar and Council President Douglas Serrano. The Sister city project organized visits to elementary schools, CRLS high school; held formal receptions with the city council and school committee; organized collaborations with Chelsea collaborative on immigration at Boston College and Cambridge city-wide event; held briefing with Congressman Capuano's office; set up a month-long city hall photo display; raised awareness and funds for elders. Organized a 9-person April delegation to San Jose Las Flores with high school students, teachers, community organizers and sister city founders. Participated in community events and political discussions. Held 2 report backs and a salsa evening. On-going monthly meetings and sustaining core group. 0 14757 Restorative Justice The Cambridge RJ Working group organized a large school to prison pipeline event at the library with more than 150 people. We followed up with a plan for community circles which is still in the works. We cosponsored an evening with the movie The Grey Area about women in prison followed with circles. We also participated in several workshops on peacemaking circles and made the new CRJ book available. Members of the group co-led circles for 7th graders at the Vassal Lane Upper School on respect and school climate and co-led a restorative practices group with middle schoolers at the Dever McCormack. The Mass RJ Collaborative offered a series of monthly meetings on topics of RJ including the police, the role of indigenous practices with non-indigenous communities/practitioners and re-entry. 0 6600 Leadership Development Programs: Provided workshops, coaching, literature and online information in the skills and consciousness of compassionate communication (nonviolent communication) and dynamic self-governance (sociocracy).
