The organization also provides books and curriculum to help student missionaries in their personal and spiritual formation. FOCUS hires recent college graduates, forms them in the teachings of the Church, Scriptures and practical aspects of mission and sends them out in teams of four to serve on college campuses. FOCUS staff members commit to an initial term of two years on campus. FOCUS works at the blessing of the local bishop and the support of the local pastor and existing campus ministry. FOCUS missionaries are currently serving on 83 campuses in 34 states throughout the country, including the District of Columbia. FOCUS currently has 355 missionaries including 145 new missionaries on campus.
