various organizations that focus on treatment and cures for various forms of cancer. The GAC volunteer grant committee works with the development offices at hospitals and cancer centers to identify projects to support. The lead researcher is asked to fill out an application and the committee decides which research projects to explore. The committee meets with the doctors individually to learn about their research.
