For our medical clinics we, and our partner CHI, purchase the medicines directly and distribute all medicines through our licensed physicians administering the clinics. Payment to translators and other Haitian workers is directly from us and we have the workers sign the sheet Indicating they agree with the amount accepted. Other expenses for medical trips such as transportation and lodging we Are able to provide receipts for. For the orphanage and school funding our primary partner provides us a expense summary each month of how the money was used. Whenever possible they provide receipts. Additionally we have someone in country every 4 to 6 weeks so we are able to monitor food use and consumption, number of employees caretakers and teachers, And keep the breast on top of typical market prices for the items they purchase/use. With students who we provide scholarship or financial assistance to at colleges, we ask for the colleges printed material which provides tuition costs and we also require report cards with the students name to verify they are attending school. Whenever we provide large food distributions, we are someone designated by us purchase the food and keep copies of All receipts so that we know the cost.
