The organization is particularly focused on helping young children develop language and become proficient readers, despite any obstacles to learning they may have. We place a priority on achieving improved outcomes for students from low socio-economic circumstances. In order for our youngest, most vulnerable citizens to have the opportunity to be successful in school and break the poverty cycle that is fueled by illiteracy for generation to generation. The crisis that exists for these children is evidenced by the fact that 82% of our children in Georgia from low income families were below grade level.Since 2006, the Rollins Center has trained 509 educators who have impacted the lives of more than 4,500 children. This committee supervises the financial compliance affairs of the School. At the audit committee meeting, members discuss any issues or concerns they may have with the draft Form 990. After discussion, a motion will be made to accept the draft version of the Form 990. The approved version of the Form 990 is sent to the Board of Directors. Any board member comments and changes are reflected in the version of the Form 990 that is filed. The approved Form 990 is then signed by an officer and filed with the IRS.
